Developing the motivation to enrich active vocabulary in the process of teaching English to students majoring in Economics

This paper deals with teaching English for Specific Purposes (ESP), focused on the professional training of prospective economists various fields activity: managers, accountants, sociologists, specialists in sphere economic security. The authors indicate that most difficult aspect foreign language students is lexical aspect, problem enriching active vocabulary precisely, since being under permanent growing flow information; who already possess basic knowledge are not always motivated to memorize and actively use new units. They prefer using constructions, words, concepts terms which they have learned before. It concerns mostly idiomatic expressions phrasal verbs, differ specific semantic characteristics structure, as well complexity their practical application. However, such structures speech ensures a successful improvement communicative competence an integrative approach proposed development strengthening motivation preparation methodological textbooks tasks. underlined when preparing individual stages educational course, orientation should be taken into account analysis target situations subsequent consideration compliance tasks applied forms work needs activities.
